“The secret of success is to be ready for opportunity when it comes” Benjamin Disraeli

What I also noticed was that the word ‘shortage’ wasn’t mentioned and that the supermarket chains were able to satisfy this demand and make a very healthy profit.

They are able to do this so efficiently because they not only anticipate an increase in demand but also do what counts and satisfy the customer at just the right time. Rather like our road and rail systems in reverse!

When there is an increased demand for your product or service will you be ready to take advantage? Will you have the systems in place to satisfy customers needs and make a bountiful harvest rather than let the opportunity pass by?

One of the ways we help our clients is by bringing their attention to the value of operating better better business systems (and personal lives). As increasingly effective and efficient systems are created a number of things begin to happen:

• Patterns are seen more clearly, which allows a better anticipation and response.

• Business flow becomes more predicable and manageable.

• More business results because people like and respond to consistency.

• Communication becomes clearer.

• Business is processed more quickly and efficiently.

• People perform better

• Most importantly the business becomes more profitable.
